22 Best coworking spaces in Chiang Mai for nomads (2025)

Like most digital nomads, we found ourselves wondering, “Which are the best coworking spaces in Chiang Mai?” when we first arrived at CNX. As a nomad hub, the sheer number of coworking spaces to choose from was overwhelming.

But donโ€™t worryโ€”Sara and I took it upon ourselves to check out every single one!

Over two months, we explored more than 20 coworking spaces and coworking cafes across the city. We even went the extra mile by reaching out to each one in advance to arrange tours and learn about their services directly from the staff.

With all the options listed in one place, this guide will help you figure out which coworking space is the best fit for you. Weโ€™ll also share which one we chose, which is the cheapest, and which is the most popular!

Note: all Wi-Fi speeds recorded in this guide were tested using https://www.speedtest.net/, are in Mbps, using the 5GHz option if available, and are the nearest round number. If the Wi-Fi speed states โ€œN/Aโ€, it means that we didn’t get a chance to test it.

Best coworking spaces in Nimman

1. Life Space

๐Ÿ : 11 Soi 15 Nimmanhaeminda Road

๐Ÿ’ฐ: เธฟ120 for 5h, เธฟ180/day

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡95 โฌ†94

๐Ÿ•”: 9 AM to 10 PM daily

Inside Life Space coworking early in the morning with views of the upstairs offices and empty downstairs tables. There are a couple of trees around the space and the coffee bar in the background.
Early morning at Life Space.

Life Space ended up being our go-to coworking space in Nimman. It was just a short walk from our apartment, super central to all the nearby restaurants and cafes, in a very safe part of town!

This coworking spot is pretty uniqueโ€”it doesnโ€™t offer monthly memberships, only 5-hour passes or a daily fee. Sara and I loved this… Maybe itโ€™s because we have commitment issues? Or maybe itโ€™s because weโ€™re lazy and couldnโ€™t resist the bunks where you can workโ€”or sneak in a nap.

With the entrance fee, Life Space throws in a free drink from their barista bar and access to rental equipment like:

  • External monitors
  • Extension leads
  • Reading lamps
  • Paper cutting tools

We always found the atmosphere at Life Space nice and quietโ€”perfect for nomads in Chiang Mai to focus and get things done. Plus, the space is beautifully decorated with an indoor-outdoor vibe, complete with trees and plants, making it feel super cozy.

โœ… Positives

  • No need to commit to a full monthโ€”perfect for short stays or trying it out.
  • Incredibly affordable day rate.
  • Free rental of external monitors.

โŒ Negatives

  • No cold desk option due to lack of monthly membership.
  • No private offices for rent.
  • No meeting booths, just a โ€˜couch cornerโ€™ where youโ€™re allowed to take calls.

2. Hub53 Coworking & Coliving

๐Ÿ : 53 เธ–เธ™เธ™ เธŠเธฅเธ›เธฃเธฐเธ—เธฒเธ™ Tambon Su Thep

๐Ÿ’ฐ: Day Pass: เธฟ189, Premium Weekly: เธฟ1,299, Unlimited Pass: เธฟ3,299/month (๐Ÿ”ฅ)

Hub53 isnโ€™t just a coworking spaceโ€”itโ€™s also a coliving space. However, weโ€™ll be covering coliving details in a separate article. Here, weโ€™re focusing solely on the coworking side of things.

Located right on the edge of Nimman (about a 10-minute walk from the main street), Hub53 offers super flexible membership options. Whether you need a day pass, a weekly membership, a monthly plan, or even a 20-hour flexi-pass, theyโ€™ve got something to suit everyone.

One thing we loved about Hub53 was the sheer amount of space. There are multiple hot desk areas, a few meeting rooms for rent, a soft seating area for more casual work, and several meeting booths (which they call Skype booths).

While some areas can get a bit noisy, they also offer a silent room for those who need extra focus. And if youโ€™re after something more permanent, we were told that Hub53 has private office spaces available for long-term rent.

Oh, and letโ€™s not forget the unlimited free coffee, tea, and waterโ€”itโ€™s the little things that count!

โœ… Positives

  • Plenty of variety in work environments.
  • Extremely flexible membership options.
  • Tons of meeting booths (Skype rooms).

โŒ Negatives

  • Located on the highway, which can make accessibility a bit tricky.
  • The design isnโ€™t the most modern.
  • It can get quite busy at times.

3. The Brick Startup Space

๐Ÿ : 31 Sirimangklachan Rd. Lane 13., Suthep

The Brick Startup Space partners with Chiang Mai University to provide local start-up businesses with a collaborative place to work. But itโ€™s not just for start-upsโ€”they also offer a range of coworking options perfect for nomads like us!

When we visited, there werenโ€™t a ton of hot desks available, as many were occupied by cold desk members. That said, the space wasnโ€™t particularly busy, so it seems thereโ€™s still room for anyone interested in working here.

Tucked away on a quiet backstreet in Nimman, this spot provides a peaceful environment ideal for grinding. Thereโ€™s even a small patio area out front for enjoying lunch and a coffee shop conveniently located next door.

One standout feature of The Brick Startup Space is its weekly workshops. These range from IT-focused sessions to art workshops aimed at mental healthโ€”check their Facebook page for updates! They also offer monitors for rent, lockers to keep your valuables secure, and a small kitchenette for members to use.

โœ… Positives

  • Weekly workshops for members to join.
  • Very quiet location and space.
  • Insane internet speeds.

โŒ Negatives

  • Not a lot of space for hot desk workers.
  • Slightly more expensive day pass prices.

4. Yellow Coworking Space

๐Ÿ : 16 2 Nimmanahaeminda Road, Tambon Su Thep

๐Ÿ’ฐ: เธฟ429/day, เธฟ5,990/month ๐Ÿ”ฅ, เธฟ7,990/month โ„๏ธ

๐Ÿ•”: 9 AM to 6 PM daily (members have 24/7 access)

The front parking area of Yellow Coworking absolutely jammed packed with scooters. The Yellow logo is on a yellow wall in the background and there are trees everywhere.
An unbelievable amount of scooters parked outside Yellow Coworking.

Yellow Coworking is hands down the most popular coworking space in Chiang Mai. Every time we passed by, it was packed, with rows of scooters parked outside.

Unfortunately, we couldnโ€™t get in to visit, and the prices were a bit beyond our budget. That said, weโ€™ve had friends who worked there, and theyโ€™ve generally spoken positively about the working environment.

Yellow seems to strike a great balance between work and socialising, with dedicated areas for quiet work and spaces where conversations can flow more freely. There are plenty of seating options, ranging from tables and booths to outdoor spots.

Most people are drawn to Yellow for the networking opportunities. However, our friend Ebba, who spent a month working there, felt the space fell short when it came to organised events. She found this aspect a bit underwhelming given its reputation.

โœ… Positives

  • Higher possibility of networking opportunities.
  • Seems to have great reviews.
  • Offers free coffee and tea, we think.

โŒ Negatives

  • Constantly busy on weekdays.
  • By far the most expensive coworking space in Chiang Mai.
  • Wouldnโ€™t let us inside to test the Wi-Fi and check out the spaceโ€ฆ lol.

5. CAMP Coworking & Cafe

๐Ÿ : Inside Maya Mall

๐Ÿ’ฐ: Whatever you decide to pay forโ€ฆ (min. เธฟ50)

๐Ÿ›œ: N/A

๐Ÿ•”: 8 AM to 12 AM daily

A girl and boy working sitting on a wooden step and working ay a white, metal table in CAMP coworking. Behind them there are offices, 'tree house' working spaces, and shelves full of books.
The ‘tree house’ working areas look pretty cool, but are almost always full.

CAMP is an interesting coworking space. Located on the top floor of Maya Mall, theyโ€™ve seamlessly blended together coworking and cafe working. But what does that mean?

To start, the amount of Wi-Fi access you have is intrinsically linked to the amount of money you spend at the cafรฉ. For every เธฟ50 you spend on drinks or food, youโ€™ll get a voucher for 2 hours of Wi-Fi. This format means that you can just turn up and work for however long you need, and then leave again.

Although, we tried to work here a couple of times. The thing is, we always arrived in the early afternoon, after lunch, and CAMP would be pretty full. Thereโ€™s a lot of different seating options, but when itโ€™s busy, the only available ones seem to be sitting on the floor cross-legged.

Due to the way the Wi-Fi is set up, we couldnโ€™t test the speed. But generally it worked fine for using Google Docs or social media. However, we wouldn’t want to need to download anything heavy here.

โœ… Positives

  • Easily accessible and zero commitment.
  • Inside Maya Mall means thereโ€™s tons of food options around.
  • Huge variety of seating options (if arriving early).

โŒ Negatives

  • Its affordability means it becomes super busy by lunch time.
  • A lot of the seating options donโ€™t offer back support.
  • Wi-Fi isnโ€™t the fastest.

6. NIM Space

๐Ÿ : 44, 1-2 Nimmanahaeminda Road, Tambon Su Thep

๐Ÿ’ฐ: Unknown

๐Ÿ›œ: N/A

๐Ÿ•”: 24/7 (according to Google)

Ryan in a red shirt, sitting at a white office desk working on a MacBook laptop. The rest of the room is full of empty desks and offices.
If you do manage to sign up, the space is actually pretty decent!

So, NIM Space is a bit of an anomaly on this list. After chatting with someone on Facebook, we decided to visit around 9 a.m., but there was no one there to meet us. We waited for about 30 minutes, hoping for a reply, but heard nothing.

We did manage to get inside thanks to someone working there, and while everything we share here is based on speculation, the space itself seemed pretty decent.

It wasnโ€™t busy at all, with plenty of free desks available. The desks were quite large, each equipped with dedicated outlets and ethernet ports. There was also a small kitchenette for shared use.

NIM Space had more of a local vibe, with many desks appearing to be rented as cold desks long-term, giving people the chance to make the space their own. The 24/7 access with a key card also makes it a convenient option for dedicated workers.

However, weโ€™re not really sure how hot desk payments are handled, as there didnโ€™t seem to be anyone around to take payments or assist with day passes.

We followed up with a Facebook message after we left, asking for prices and a Wi-Fi speed test, but unfortunately, we didnโ€™t get any responseโ€”just crickets.

โœ… Positives

  • Huge desks with ergonomic chairs.
  • Very quiet coworking space, only one person was in the common area at 9.30am.
  • One side of the space is just one big window, so there is a lot of natural light.

โŒ Negatives

  • Doesnโ€™t seem to be consistently manned by a receptionist during office hours.
  • We donโ€™t know the process youโ€™d need to go through to acquire a day pass or monthly membership.

7. Greenhouse Community Space

๐Ÿ : 11 Soi 15 Nimmanhaeminda Road

๐Ÿ’ฐ: เธฟ200/day, เธฟ3,000/month

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡10 โฌ†10

๐Ÿ•”: Mon-Fri: 9 AM to 6 PM

Sara sitting at an empty desk with her laptop in Greenhouse Community Space while smiling at the camera.
Greenhouse is perfect for a quiet and peaceful working atmosphere.

Greenhouse Community Space is another coworking spot with a distinctly local vibe. We stopped by early in the morning and were warmly welcomed by a super kind receptionist who gave us a tour and shared helpful information about the space.

Greenhouse isnโ€™t huge, but itโ€™s also not overcrowded, so youโ€™re likely to find an available desk whenever you drop in. Each cluster of four desks has its own outlets, and the cushioned chairs are quite comfortable. Located on a quiet street, the atmosphere here is peaceful and great for focused work.

They also offer event spaces for rent, with discounted rates to make them more accessible for students. Another unique feature is their dedicated recording room, complete with sound panels for noise dampening, which is also available for rent.

If Greenhouse Community Space feels like the right fit for you, they offer a range of rental options, including hourly, weekly, and monthly passes. For long-term users, they provide monthly memberships as well as 40-hour and 50-hour flexi-passes.

โœ… Positives

  • Super quiet and peaceful atmosphere to focus on work.
  • A range of hot desk and membership options to suit everyone.
  • Desk is fairly sized, with lots of room for your equipment.

โŒ Negatives

  • The Wi-Fi speed was a bit slow, so it might not be ideal for heavy downloads.
  • Isnโ€™t going to be the best for networking opportunities.

8. BuriSiri Hotel

๐Ÿ : 1 Siri Mangkalajarn Rd, Suthep

๐Ÿ’ฐ: เธฟ150/day, เธฟ3,000/month

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡18 โฌ†16

๐Ÿ•”: 10:30 AM to 12 AM daily

BuriSiri Hotel is perfect for the more casual worker who enjoys mixing work with a bit of leisure. The coworking area is set inside the hotelโ€™s restaurant, which means itโ€™s not accessible until 10:30 a.m., after hotel guests finish breakfast.

For just เธฟ150, your day pass includes access to the coworking area, the hotel pool, and a soft drinkโ€”making it one of the more unique coworking experiences in Chiang Mai.

That said, the tables and chairs arenโ€™t exactly designed for productivityโ€”theyโ€™re just standard restaurant furniture. But letโ€™s be real, thatโ€™s not what youโ€™re here for. At BuriSiri, youโ€™re paying for the laid-back vibe, a relaxing day, and the chance to take a refreshing dip in the pool around work time.

And the cherry on top? BuriSiri runs a happy hour with cocktails between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.!

The manager also mentioned that theyโ€™re opening (actually, itโ€™s already open now) another property by the Ping River!

โœ… Positives

  • Pool access with sun loungers.
  • Happy hour between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
  • The coworking space manager informed us that if you need faster Wi-Fi, a private router could be arranged.

โŒ Negatives

  • Not the most productive environment, but itโ€™ll depend from person to person.
  • No dedicated desk options due to it being, you know, a hotel.

A quick break in this article to talk about best global travel and health insurance for nomads and travellers!

9. Alt_ChiangMai Coworking & Coliving

Overlooking the main coworking area of Alt_ChiangMai as people sit at their desks working. There are a couple of empty desks, plants behind them, and a view up to more coworking space above.
This is the main coworking area, and there’s more space further inside too.

Alt_ChiangMai is another coliving space, which weโ€™ll talk about in a different guide. But on the ground floor they offer access to their super modern coworking space. There are huge windows and lots of natural light, something we always appreciate.

It boasts a higher end price tag (still nothing close to Yellow thoughโ€ฆ), but with the price tag comes a more luxurious experience. The child of an interior designer and someone who used to work in the 5-star hotel space, youโ€™d expect nothing less.

Alt_ChiangMai also offers weekly events. Although some are reserved just for residence, some are accessible by coworking members too. For example, every Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime they run an event called โ€˜Tea Timeโ€™. Everyone can come together to chat and network with each other over a warm cuppa!

Speaking of cuppaโ€™s, right next door is Bella Goose Coffee. We actually visited a different branch of Bella Goose for breakfast once, and it was delicious!

In terms of memberships, Alt_ChiangMai offers a 4-hour pass, a day pass, a weekly pass and a 15-day pass. For long-term, there are monthly and quarterly memberships for both hot desks and cold desks.

โœ… Positives

  • A collaborative atmosphere that breeds networking opportunities.
  • Great desk setups with comfortable and ergonomic chairs for back support.
  • A โ€˜loudโ€™ room and a โ€˜quietโ€™ room for flexible working styles.

โŒ Negatives

  • Itโ€™s a tad on the expensive side.
  • The coworking space isnโ€™t huge, so it may get busy or booked out during high season.

10. Punspace (Wiang Kaew)

๐Ÿ : 10 Wiang Kaew Rd, Tambon Si Phum

๐Ÿ’ฐ: เธฟ289/day, เธฟ3,899/month ๐Ÿ”ฅ, เธฟ5,499/month โ„๏ธ

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡48 โฌ†63

๐Ÿ•”: 9 AM to 6 PM daily

Overlooking the front garden of the Punspace coworking building, which is surrounded by trees, hammocks and people working at laptops.
Punspace have done a great job integrating with nature!

This is the first of two properties owned by Punspace in the Old City, and in our opinion, itโ€™s the better choice. This is because of the massive outdoor patio and garden area.

When we visited, we saw a group of guys kicking a ball around on the grass, someone napping in a hammock, and a few people enjoying smoothie bowls from a nearby stall. Itโ€™s a great spot if you enjoy working with some fresh air and a relaxed vibe.

Inside, the aesthetic is modern, dark and more minimalist, with mainly black and monotone colours. The space is thoughtfully divided, with separate rooms for louder collaboration, quieter deep work, and phone booths for online meetings.

Punspace Wiang Kaew also provides a variety of pass and membership options. Whether you need a day pass, a weekly pass, or a longer-term commitment like monthly, quarterly, half-year, or full-year memberships (the last one being cold desk only), Punspace has got you.

โœ… Positives

  • Huge outdoor โ€˜yardโ€™ that can be used to work outside, play with some friends, or just chill.
  • Offers soft drinks and beers at a reasonable price.
  • Conveniently located coffee and smoothie bowl stands right next door.

โŒ Negatives

  • It was quite busy when we visited, we would even argue that it was almost full.
  • Wi-Fi has potential to be faster.

11. Punspace (Tha Phae Gate)

๐Ÿ : 7 2 Rachadamnoen Rd Soi 4, Tambon Si Phum

The second Punspace coworking space in Chiang Mai is near Tha Phae Gate, but we couldnโ€™t check it out since it was booked for an event the day we planned to visit.

From what the team at Wiang Kaew told us, the setup is pretty similar. The Tha Phae Gate space doesnโ€™t have the outdoor garden area but has a brighter and more open design. Itโ€™s also bigger, so if Wiang Kaew is full, this spot could be a good alternative.

Obviously, we didnโ€™t get to test the Wi-Fi here, but it looks like the pricing is the same as Wiang Kaew judging by their website.

โœ… Positives

  • We donโ€™t really knowโ€ฆ

โŒ Negatives

  • Closed on Sundays.

12. The Social Club Coworking & Coliving

๐Ÿ : 9/1 Arak Rd Lane 3, Si Phum

๐Ÿ’ฐ: เธฟ350/day, เธฟ3,750/month

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡485 โฌ†N/A

๐Ÿ•”: 9 AM to 9 PM daily

A lone man working at desk in an empty room full of white desks and large windows to his right. There are some monitors on the other desks where people have been working.
We visited at lunch time, so there was only one hard worker in The Social Club coworking space!

The Social Club has one of the most tight-knit communities we came across in Chiang Mai. With daily events and meet-ups, itโ€™s an amazing spot to connect with other nomads and make new friends.

This space also has some of the fastest internet speeds we experienced. It offers multiple work areas, including a quiet zone for deep focus and call booths you can book for meetings. Beyond work, there are two communal areasโ€”one with a pool table and ping pong, and the other with comfy sofas and board games.

And we canโ€™t forget the four resident cats, always ready to provide emotional support!

One thing to keep in mind: during high season, when The Social Club fills up with coliving guests, they close the coworking space to the general public. This is to ensure enough room for their guests to work.

โœ… Positives

  • Incredible Wi-Fi speeds, great for internet heavy work.
  • Super chill environment that helps you relax at workโ€ฆ with cats!
  • Regular community-based events to meet new people.

โŒ Negatives

  • Closes to non-guests during the high season (~Nov to Mar).
  • Not a huge coworking space, so it may fill up quickly.

13. Regus Chiang Mai

๐Ÿ : 2/F, Icon Park Hotel, Regus Icon Park Business Centre, 310 Manee Nopparat Rd

๐Ÿ’ฐ: เธฟ550/day, เธฟ4,490/month

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡76 โฌ†91

๐Ÿ•”: Mon-Fri: 9 AM to 6 PM

Ryan poking his head above a white and green shelving unit inside the communal area of Regus coworking.
Can you spot Ryan in the Regus communal coworking space?

Regus is one of the largest chains of coworking spaces in the world.

Although itโ€™s on the pricier side, with Regus, youโ€™re paying for access to the entire chain, not just a single coworking space. If you sign up for a monthly hot desk here, youโ€™ll also have access to the communal coworking in all the Regus locations across Thailand.

However, their main focus is on office rentals rather than daily hot desking. During our tour, we noticed almost endless office options, big and small. When you book an office long-term with Regus, you can visit anytime, 24/7. Plus, you gain access to public coworking spaces at any Regus location worldwideโ€”over 4,000 in total!

We actually really vibed with the coworking area at this particular Regus. It was super bright, with large desks, plenty of outlets and Ethernet connections, and fast, stable Wi-Fi.

โœ… Positives

  • Bright, open space to promote a healthy work environment.
  • Can gain access to all Regus locations in Thailand, or the world if renting an office.
  • Stable, fibre optic Wi-Fi.

โŒ Negatives

  • Price isnโ€™t ideal for just a day pass, thatโ€™s not Regusโ€™s main focus.
  • Prices arenโ€™t solid, you need to ask for a quote online for monthly and office prices.

14. Socialer Coworking & Coliving

๐Ÿ : 37/9 Taeparak Rd, Mueang

Sara deep in thought while working inside Socialer.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Socialer is yet another great spot for connecting with fellow nomads. The space has a casual, homey vibeโ€”probably because it feels like a converted houseโ€”and the coworking area is essentially the communal living room.

The working space itself is fairly small, with just a few desks, but itโ€™s not overly busy. We visited just before lunchtime on a Thursday and found only one other person using the space.

Located outside Nimman on a super quiet back street, Socialer is still within walking distance of Nimman and Santitham Road, making it easy to grab food nearby.

Socialer offers monitors for guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Thereโ€™s also a small โ€˜chillingโ€™ areaโ€”a raised wooden platform with cushionsโ€”perfect for those who prefer a more relaxed work mode.

Lastly, Socialer organises weekly workshops open to both residents and coworking guests. They invite a current resident or nomad to share a topic theyโ€™re passionate about, giving everyone a chance to learn something new!

โœ… Positives

  • On a quiet road, with a quiet work area, making for a peaceful environment.
  • Everybody we met inside Socialer was super friendly and keen to connect.
  • Purchasing a two week or one month membership automatically guarantees you a desk.

โŒ Negatives

  • Although not busy, itโ€™s still a small space, so it has the potential to fill up fast during high season.
  • Wi-Fi could be a tad quicker, but itโ€™s not a deal breaker.

15. One Workspace

๐Ÿ : 29 Hussadhisawee Soi 4, Chang Phueak

๐Ÿ’ฐ: เธฟ249 /day, เธฟ3,199/month

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡83 โฌ†9

๐Ÿ•”: 9 AM to 8 PM (24/7 for members)

A woman working at a desk in the grey and white monotone designed coworking area at One Space. There are other empty desks and plants around.
This is the ‘loud room’ at One Workspace, right beside the cafรฉ.

We werenโ€™t sure what to expect when we arrived at One Workspace, but we were actually pleasantly surprised.

At first, we walked into a cafรฉ (Tora Bake) and were a bit confused, wondering what the hell was going on. It turns out, the coworking space is attached to the cafรฉ, with the โ€˜loudโ€™ room right next door and the โ€˜quietโ€™ room upstairs.

One Workspace has a simple setupโ€”plain white desks and a minimalist design. But honestly, itโ€™s everything youโ€™d need to set up a personalised desk for however long youโ€™re staying.

The monthly fee is one of the cheapest weโ€™ve seen in Chiang Mai. They also offer add-ons, like access to a locker for เธฟ4,499 a month, or a monitor and locker deal for เธฟ4,999. Otherwise, you can rent a monitor for 30 days at เธฟ890.

Tucked away on another backstreet in the Santitham neighbourhood, itโ€™s a really peaceful spot. Our friend Martin rented a monthly cold desk here with a monitor and said itโ€™s the best value for money heโ€™s found in the area.

Alternatively, One Workspace has another property in the Old City too.

โœ… Positives

  • Attached to Tora Bake cafe, which serves a range of drinks and home made cakes.
  • In a quiet area, and the space itself was super quiet.
  • Most affordable monthly membership in Chiang Mai.

โŒ Negatives

  • It doesnโ€™t feel overly collaborative if youโ€™re looking for networking opportunities.
  • Not really sure what was going on with the upload speed during the test.

16. RealSpace

๐Ÿ : 32 1 Sirithorn Rd, Chang Phueak

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡593 โฌ†370

People inside Real Space in fancy dress and playing beer pong during a Halloween party. There a table with blood on it and people queueing at the bar.
If we’re honest, we didn’t come to Real Space for work… but we did come for Halloween!

RealSpace is an anomaly on this list, as it markets itself as a social space more than a coworking space. Not only is it a cool spot to work in, the owner, Isaac, also organises weekly social events for anybody to attend.

We actually joined a couple of these eventsโ€“the Friday night โ€˜Network & Beersโ€™ eventโ€“and always had a good time. It tended to turn into a โ€œletโ€™s drink beer and play board gamesโ€ event, and we met a few of our good friends through these meet-ups.

This unbelievably cheap monthly membership also gets you access to:

  • Hot desks on the 2nd, 3rd and 5th floors
  • The board game room
  • The cinema room
  • All weekly events (happening daily)
  • A massage chair
  • The VR room
  • 4 guest passes per month

And yes, I (Ryan) used the VR room, and itโ€™s a lot of fun! Isaac also showed us the new โ€œCreator Roomโ€ for filming that would be opening soon (maybe it already is!), and itโ€™s a beast!

โœ… Positives

  • Amazingly cheap monthly membership with a strong networking focus.
  • Fastest internet speeds we saw in Chiang Mai.
  • A work/play space, great for focus but also to relax.

โŒ Negatives

  • No in-house restaurant (yet) so all food needs to be ordered on Grab.
  • Not open 24/7 for those night owls.
  • No coliving options, although Isaac said they might come in the future!

Best coworking spaces around Ping River and the Night Bazaar

17. ALT_PingRiver Coworking & Coliving

๐Ÿ : 3 Soi 1, Chiang Mai-Lamphun Rd

๐Ÿ’ฐ: เธฟ320/day, เธฟ4,000/month ๐Ÿ”ฅ, เธฟ5,500/month โ„๏ธ

๐Ÿ›œ: N/A

๐Ÿ•”: Mon-Fri: 9 AM to 9 PM | Sat-Sun: 9 AM to 6 PM

Empty, black office chairs pushed in up against wooden tables with a MacBook and iPad on top. There's an empty meeting room behind surrounded by glass windows.
Image from www.altcoliving.com.

Weโ€™ll keep this one short since Alt_PingRiver is the alternate property to Alt_ChiangMai. Unfortunately, we couldnโ€™t check it out because a private event was happening when we planned to visit.

From what the marketing manager at Alt_ChiangMai told us, the PingRiver location has a similar vibe but with a slightly different design. Instead of being built from scratch, it was converted from an old Thai house, which gives it a unique charm.

Other than that, we donโ€™t know much about Alt_PingRiver.

18. The Story 106 Coworking & Cafe

๐Ÿ : 200 Tha Phae Road, Tambon Chang Moi

๐Ÿ’ฐ: Dependent on what food and drinks you buy

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡252 โฌ†130

๐Ÿ•”: 8 AM to 9 PM daily

Sara smiling while pointing at a breakfast dish and a club sandwich on a table inside The Story 106. There's a water dispenser and people working on laptops in the background.
We need to show you how delicious the food was!

Sara and I really enjoyed working at The Story 106. Like CAMP, how much Wi-Fi time you get depends on what you order. Hereโ€™s the breakdown:

  • 1 hour (เธฟ60 to เธฟ100)
  • 2 hours (เธฟ100 to เธฟ150)
  • 3 hours (เธฟ150 to เธฟ200)
  • 5 hours (เธฟ200+)

We grabbed lunch while we were thereโ€”a club sandwich and an orange juiceโ€”which cost เธฟ189 and won me 3 hours of Wi-Fi.

The coworking space is upstairs, and itโ€™s massive. It almost feels like it stretches across two buildings, with a big main room, a smaller auxiliary room, and even a small outdoor patio on the second floor. Smokers will appreciate not having to leave the building.

Honestly, the food was delicious. We could definitely see ourselves staying here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which would easily cover a full dayโ€™s worth of internet access.

โœ… Positives

  • Technically you get a meal โ€œincludedโ€ in your coworking fee (or coworking included in your meal feeโ€“depends how you look at it).
  • Lots of space, with plenty of large tables to work at.
  • The food on offer is actually high quality and tasty.

โŒ Negatives

  • No monthly membership options whatsoever, so cold desks arenโ€™t a thing.
  • Itโ€™s a cafรฉ, so it could get loud and thereโ€™s nothing you can do about it.

19. Lana Beds & Spaces

๐Ÿ : 2/1 Kaeo Nawarat Soi 3, Tambon Chang Moi

๐Ÿ’ฐ: Unknown

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡40 โฌ†39

๐Ÿ•”: 8 AM to 5 PM daily

Tons of black chairs up against wooden desks with privacy screens blocking the main area of Lana Beds and Spaces coworking space from the meeting rooms.
There are two floors of desks like this!

Although we visited Lana Beds & Spaces, it wasnโ€™t the best timing. Chiang Mai had recently been hit by severe floods from the Ping River, and this property was still in recovery mode.

That said, the coworking space is massive, spanning three floors with plenty of desks and comfortable office chairs on each level. Thereโ€™s also a smaller, more casual area with cushions for a chilled work session.

Sara and I were there around 3 PM on a Thursday, and the space was completely empty. However, the owner mentioned that after school hours (around 4:30 PM), it tends to fill up with students from a nearby school who use the space.

On top of the coworking area, thereโ€™s kitchen access at the coliving building next door. You can order food to eat here, or bring your own lunch and store it in their giant fridge.

I thought Iโ€™d snapped a picture of the prices to translate them from Thai later, but apparently, theyโ€™d tippexced over the day pass priceโ€”which used to be เธฟ150.

โœ… Positives

  • Super quiet during the day, with lots of desk options.
  • There are also meeting rooms available.
  • The owner was super friendly, and she seemed keen to chat!

โŒ Negatives

  • Quite far away from town.
  • Late afternoon would probably get busy and loud with students.

Best coworking spaces outside of central Chiang Mai

20. Heartwork the Sharing Space

๐Ÿ : 196 1-2 Kampangdin Rd, Tambon Hai Ya

๐Ÿ’ฐ: เธฟ20 (yep, you read that correct)

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡14 โฌ†4

๐Ÿ•”: Mon-Sat: 9 AM to 5:30 PM

Looking at the ground floor and second floor of Heartwork Sharing Spaces as people work at laptops on desks and tables. There's also the cafe counter that has cakes and drinks lined up on it.
Sara down below and other nomads working above.

Heartwork leans more toward being a cafรฉ than a coworking space, but itโ€™s a fantastic, affordable option for budget-conscious remote workers.

When you arrive, youโ€™re expected to buy at least a drink, and they charge an additional เธฟ20 on top of the drink price for daily internet access. Thatโ€™s why itโ€™s so cheap! That said, the internet isnโ€™t the fastest, so keep that in mind.

If youโ€™re looking for a quiet spot to work without needing heavy internet use, Heartwork could be just right. We worked downstairs beside a huge window that let in tons of natural light, but thereโ€™s also plenty of desk space upstairs.

We also noticed a room with a massive printer and scanner, so it seems they might offer printing services. However, we canโ€™t confirm whether or not the public are allowed to use it.

โœ… Positives

  • Super affordable and a great low-budget option.
  • Offers food tooโ€“mainly Thai dishesโ€“so you donโ€™t need to leave for lunch.
  • It was very quiet and peaceful when we were there, people are here to focus on work.

โŒ Negatives

  • The internet speeds leave a lot to be desired.
  • Itโ€™s in a remote area.
  • If working downstairs, you might want to bring an extension cord.

21. Code Space

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡27 โฌ†31

๐Ÿ•”: 24/7

Ryan in deep work mode at his laptop on a a small desk inside of Code Space. There are giant windows letting on lots of natural light and other empty wooden desks around.
Ryan getting focussed in Code Space!

Although a bit inconveniently far outside of central Chiang Mai, Code Space could be a great option for remote workers looking for a coworking space off of the beaten path.

The property itself is actually lovely, with large windows and lots of natural light (can you tell we appreciate natural light?). We were at Code Space at 1 PM on a Thursday, and although there were lots of people (mainly Thai locals), it was only half full. This leaves plenty of space!

Itโ€™s also attached to Code Cafe, which offers drinks and pastries. However, the main menu was in Thai, so weโ€™re not completely sure what else you could get.

With a printer, lockers and different sized meetings rooms (8 pax & 20 pax) available, this space generally has what every nomad might need.

Although the owner let us in, she didnโ€™t really give us a tour, so we donโ€™t know the prices. I tried to look online, but to no avail.

โœ… Positives

  • Attached to a cafe, for drinks and sweet treats.
  • More local feel, probably mainly uni students that live in the area.
  • Lots of natural light.

โŒ Negatives

  • Far away from literally anything, itโ€™s off the highway in the middle of nowhere.
  • Probably not going to find other digital nomads here regularly.

22. StarWork

๐Ÿ›œ: โฌ‡95 โฌ†84

๐Ÿ•”: 9 AM to 6 PM daily (24/7 access for office renters)

Looking up at the StarWork office building with it's giant logo on the front above three small fountains, and a 7-Eleven right next door.
It felt a bit too awkward to take photos during our tour, so this is the front!

StarWork is located quite far west of the Ping River and has more of a business vibe than most coworking spaces we visited. It felt like their main focus is on office rentalsโ€”they do have a ton of offices!

That said, if youโ€™re interested in checking it out, they do offer daily, weekly, and monthly passes. These give you access to the communal areas on most floors (basically all the space between the offices).

The internet speed was solid, and the dรฉcor had a โ€œsmoking roomโ€ aestheticโ€”dark green tones and cosy vibes. It actually felt quite relaxing, and we could see ourselves working there comfortably.

Plus, with such an affordable monthly membership price, StarWork could be a great option for those staying in Chiang Mai longer term.

โœ… Positives

  • Affordable monthly membership fee.
  • Pretty decent Wi-Fi speeds.
  • Cosy feeling in the communal coworking spaces.

โŒ Negatives

  • Mainly seems to focus on renting out private office spaces to businesses.
  • Highly unlikely that youโ€™ll meet any other nomads in StarWork.
  • Quite far out from the city, but still has things nearby like 7-Eleven.

Which was our favourite coworking space in Chiang Mai?

Out of all the coworking spaces we tried, we found ourselves gravitating toward Life Space the most. We loved the flexibility of choosing between a day pass or a 5-hour option, plus the complimentary barista-made drink was a nice touch.

Sara with a work setup on a desks in a monotone room in Life Space. There are other desks around with people working, privacy dividers, and fake greenery.
We looovvee natural light in a work space!

Life Space has an excellent atmosphere for getting work done. Everyone is super quiet and focused. The modern dรฉcor, paired with skylights that flood the space with natural light, makes it feel open and inviting.

The internet was consistently reliableโ€”we never had any issues completing work tasks. While we didnโ€™t personally use an external monitor, plenty of other digital nomads did, creating impressive and functional temporary setups at their desks.
