Peru is by far one of our favorite countries in South America, at least from the ones we’ve visited so far! With a massively varying landscape ranging from the Andes mountain range, to the Amazonian jungle and the coastal areas to the west, there’s something for everyone in Peru.
On top of this, the Peruvian locals are the super friendly, welcoming and always so excited to share their culture with foreigners. Even the history in Peru is of great interest. Learn through your travels how Peru evolved from the pre-Inca cultures, to the Inca Empire, to the Spanish colonialization, right up to modern day
Peru. From our experience of traveling for two months through Peru, we can guarantee that you’re going to have a great time!

Weather
Peru’s weather varies greatly from region to region. Along the coastline in areas like Lima, you’ll likely come across mild weather with some hot days and some cold day. In the Andes mountain range the weather becomes more chilly but still with some sunny days and in the Amazonian regions you can expect tropical and unpredictable weather patterns and high humidity.
Peru’s rainy season is generally between November and March. While it’s driest seasons is between April and October.
