ROAD TRIPS
Road trips, in our opinion, are one of the most freeing ways to explore a destination! With access to your own vehicle you can travel wherever you want, whenever you want and at your own pace.
If you don’t have access to your own vehicle for a road trip, you can easily rent one from the many companies across the world.
One thing to keep in mind is to make sure you source the appropriate vehicle for the road trip. For example, a campervan works great in the UK and will get you to most places you want to go. However, in Australia you might want to consider a 4×4 with a tent, as there are a lot of awesome spots in Australia that can only be reached by off-road tracks.

ROAD TRIP TOP TIPS
Cost
Road trips will either be as expensive or as cheap as you make them. The initial outlay of the vehicle will be the most expensive part. Although, for example, if you arrive in a country and buy a car, treat it well and then sell it 3 months later, your loss will be minimal.
The second most expensive element of road trips is the fuel… obviously. It will depend on what country you are in. Fuel in SE Asia is usually about 50c/litre, compared to the UK which is sitting at around $2/litre right now.
